On a two-lane road you see a solid yellow line next to a broken yellow line, with the solid line on your side. What does it mean?
- A You may pass when it is safe
- B You may not pass
- C Only oncoming traffic is barred from passing
- D You must change lanes now
Show answer
B. You may not pass
A solid yellow line on the right of the broken line applies to the lane you are in and marks a zone where passing is prohibited. If the line nearest you is solid, you are not in a passing zone.
