Why should you avoid swinging wide to the left before making a right turn?
- A It wears out the front tires faster
- B It is only a problem for trucks, not cars
- C It makes your turn signal switch off early

Show answer
D. The driver behind may think you are turning left and pass on the right
If you swing wide before a right turn, the driver behind may think you are changing lanes or turning left and try to pass on your right. Keep close to the right as you turn.

Signal early, but not so early that others think you are turning into a nearer street or driveway. Wait until you pass those openings, then signal.
