- A Your left turn is protected; oncoming traffic is stopped
- B You must stop; the signal is about to turn red
- C You may turn left after yielding to oncoming traffic and pedestrians
- D Left turns are prohibited until the arrow turns green

What does a green arrow pointing left mean for your turn lane?
- A You may turn but must yield to oncoming cars
- B Left turns are not allowed from this lane
- C Your turn is protected, and opposing traffic must stop
- D The signal is about to change to red
Show answer
C. Your turn is protected, and opposing traffic must stop
A green arrow means you may turn in the direction of the arrow and the turn is protected because opposing traffic must stop. Still check for pedestrians and red-light runners before turning.
