- A To turn left into or out of a driveway or business entrance
- B To pass a slow vehicle when no traffic is coming
- C Only to make a U-turn in a business district

The center of the road has a solid yellow line on your side and a dashed yellow line on the other side. What does this mean?
- A Drivers in both directions may pass whenever it is safe
- B Neither direction may pass
- C You may pass, but drivers on the other side may not
- D You may not pass, but drivers on the dashed side may
Show answer
D. You may not pass, but drivers on the dashed side may
With one solid and one dashed yellow line, only traffic in the lane next to the dashed line may cross to pass. The solid line on your side means passing is not allowed for you.

- A Lane changes are allowed when it is safe
- B Lane changes are discouraged but legal
