How to read signs like this
Warning signs are usually yellow diamonds. They tell you about a hazard or change ahead (curves, intersections, merges, slippery roads) so you can slow down before you get there.

D. A raised hump built into the road to slow traffic
Speed humps are built on purpose to slow traffic, often on neighborhood streets. The sign usually has a speed plaque showing a safe speed to cross them. The words speed hump and speed bump mean the same thing on signs.
