- B At least 200 feet
- C Just as you begin turning
- D At least 100 feet or 1/3 of a block
Show answer

While waiting to turn left across oncoming traffic, how should your front wheels be pointed?
- A Turned left, ready to go
- B Straight ahead until you can complete the turn
- C Turned right, toward the curb
- D It doesn't matter which way while you are stopped
Show answer
B. Straight ahead until you can complete the turn
Don't turn the steering wheel to the left while waiting. If you are rear-ended with wheels turned, the impact can push you into oncoming traffic, so keep them straight until you can complete the turn.

You realize you are in the wrong lane to make your turn. What should you do?
- A Go on to the next intersection and turn from the proper lane
- B Turn anyway with your signal on
- C Stop and wait for a gap to change lanes
- D Cut across lanes quickly
Show answer
A. Go on to the next intersection and turn from the proper lane
If you aren't in the proper lane, drive to the next intersection and make the turn from the correct lane there, circling back if needed. A short detour beats a crash.
