How should you use a continuous two-way center left-turn lane?

    • A Enter it a short distance before your turn, fully inside the lane
    • B Use it as an extra travel lane to get around slow-moving traffic ahead
    • C Drive in it for several blocks before turning
    • D Use it to merge after turning onto the road
    Show answer

    A. Enter it a short distance before your turn, fully inside the lane

A two-way left-turn lane is not a travel lane. Signal, move in a short distance before your turn with your whole vehicle inside it, and turn when the way is clear.

    • D You are driving the wrong way

    D. You are driving the wrong way
