A vehicle is coming straight at you in your lane and there is immediate danger of a collision. Which way should you steer?
- A Into the oncoming lane to the left
- B Off the road to the right
- C Straight ahead while braking hard
- D Toward the center line to pass beside it

B. Off the road to the right
If a vehicle appears in your lane and a crash is close, steer off the road to the right. The other driver is likely to swerve back to their own side, and running off the road is safer than a head-on crash.
